About the Role

As a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Datacenter Infrastructure Field Application Engineer or Presales Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and driving the sales of UPS products and solutions within the datacenter infrastructure field. In this role, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, and other technical personnel to ensure the successful deployment and integration of UPS systems in datacenter environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in UPS Solutions: Possess in-depth knowledge of UPS products, solutions, and services, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements related to datacenter infrastructure.

  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to participate in customer meetings and presentations, understanding customer needs, and proposing appropriate UPS solutions.

  • Technical Consultation: Engage in technical discussions with customers to understand their datacenter infrastructure requirements and propose tailored UPS solutions.

  • Solution Design and Proposal: Create detailed technical proposals and designs that address customer requirements, including UPS system configurations, power distribution, backup options, and monitoring capabilities.

  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure the successful implementation and commissioning of UPS systems in datacenter environments. Provide technical guidance and coordinate tasks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Demonstration and Training: Conduct technical demonstrations and training sessions for customers and sales teams to showcase the capabilities and benefits of UPS solutions.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their technical queries, providing post-sales support, and proactively identifying opportunities for additional UPS solutions and services.

  • Industry Expertise: Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to datacenter infrastructure, power distribution, and UPS systems.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as UPS manufacturer certifications and project management certifications are advantageous.

  • · Experience: Prior experience as a Field Application Engineer, Presales Engineer, or a similar role within the datacenter infrastructure industry, with a focus on UPS solutions and power management. Experience in supporting sales teams and customers is highly desirable.

  • · Technical Skills: Expertise in UPS systems, power distribution, backup power solutions, and datacenter infrastructure. Proficient in using industry-standard design software, monitoring tools, and other related technical applications.

  • · Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders. Ability to deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations.

  • · Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify customer requirements, propose effective solutions, and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • · Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • · Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and offer suitable solutions. Strong customer service orientation and ability to foster long-term customer relationships.
