Indonesian Students' Success in Global Talent Entrepreneurship Program

By Alsina Betha

3 Indonesian students from the NTUST's MBA program teamed up with an alumnus to establish an Indonesian entrepreneurial team, PT Daun Pintar Raya.

Three Indonesian students from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology's (Taiwan Tech) MBA program—Zhang Xuanli, Li Muyuan, and Li Meiqian—teamed up with Liu Wenliang, an alumnus of the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology's Department of Chemical Engineering, to establish the Indonesian entrepreneurial team, PT Daun Pintar Raya.

In the second edition of Taiwan Tech's "Global Talent Entrepreneurship Program," the PT Daun Pintar Raya team was recognized for their exceptional achievements as the outstanding team. They successfully launched their app in collaboration with the Indonesian government, providing equipment, services, and educational resources to local farmers in Jakarta. Additionally, they secured contracts with local governments and are exploring collaboration opportunities in Nusantara, the new capital. As members of the Procurement Agency's website, they have priority access to government procurement of hydroponic cultivation technology and products.

The team is actively involved in providing technical education to local farmers in Nusantara, aiming to raise awareness and ensure the adoption of high-quality hydroponic greenhouse practices. To make their services more accessible to Indonesian farmers, who often face financial constraints, they have introduced a monthly subscription model.

"Seeing the impact our project can have motivates us to push forward despite the challenges," said Zhang Xuanli, reflecting on the team's journey. The success of PT Daun Pintar Raya not only serves as a source of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs from Indonesia but also highlights the abundant opportunities available in Taiwan's entrepreneurial ecosystem. This remarkable achievement underscores Taiwan's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, offering a platform for individuals worldwide to unleash their potential and contribute to the dynamic landscape of entrepreneurship. By embracing innovation and entrepreneurship, individuals can pave the way for a brighter future in Taiwan's thriving entrepreneurial community while also making valuable contributions to developing Indonesia's entrepreneurial sector.
