Infrastructure development in various regions in Indonesia and in particular the National Capital City (IKN) development project is getting high attention by potential investors from Taiwan.
Jakarta, June 17, 2023 - Responding to the opportunities offered, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), in collaboration with the KDEI Taipei Investment Sector and the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, brought together a delegation of Taiwanese companies with related Indonesian agencies and companies in Jakarta on 14-16 June 2023. On June 14 2023, activities began with a 1-on-1 meeting forum located at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Hotel Gandaria City. This forum was attended by several Taiwanese and Indonesian companies. TAITRA also invited representatives from the Indonesian IoT Association (ASIOTI), namely Mr. Teguh Prasetya (CEO & Chairman) to be one of the speakers at the forum. There were 10-20 Indonesian companies and associations who attended this activity.
The June 15 2023 activity began with a visit by the TAITRA delegation and Taiwanese companies as well as the IETO Taipei Investment Sector to the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) in Jakarta, where the delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nazib Faizal (Secretariat General & Head of Information and Data Technology) and Mr. Zamhur Rimaldi Karnadi (Head of Toll Road Investment). In the afternoon, activities continued with the "Indonesia-Taiwan Intelligent Transportation and Water Resources Forum 2023: Nusantara New Capital City and Smart Cities Development Collaboration" forum held by the Ministry of Investment/BKPM located at the Alila Hotel SCBD Jakarta. The forum presented resource persons who are competent in these fields, namely from the IKN Authority, Mr. Muh. Naufal Aminuddin (Financing Director), PT. Delameta Bilano (ITS Indonesia), Mr. Rein Gazalba (Director of Operations and Development), PT Jakarta Propertindo, Bpk. Indra Lesmana Kosim (VP Project Acquisition & Development) and from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, Mr. Noor Fuad Fitrianto (Director of Services and Regional Planning).
The June 16 2023 activity began with a visit to PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk in Jakarta, where they were welcomed by Mr. Irianto Purwosunu (Change & Claim Management Expert). The activity continued with a visit to the IKN Authority Office in Jakarta, where they were welcomed by Mr. Muh. Naufal Aminuddin (Financing Director).
From this series of Trade Mission assistance activities, you can feel the benefits of the opportunity to exchange experiences and information on project opportunities between Taiwanese companies and Indonesian agencies and companies. It is hoped that in the future there will be more opportunities and the number of Taiwanese and Indonesian companies that can have better cooperative relations.
