Secretary of the Directorate General of Vocational Education announced join cooperation commemoration with representatives from over 20 polytechnic universities.

Jakarta, Indonesia, December 13, 2023 - In the International Talent Circulation Base (NTACT Base) Taiwan-Indonesia ceremony, three prestigious Taiwan universities—Cheng Shiu University, Chaoyang University of Technology, and Hsing Wu University—revealed the pioneering "International Student Recruitment and Retention Initiative in Taiwan". This visionary program, intricately orchestrated by the universities, signifies a revolutionary phase in international education and talent development.

At the heart of this historic partnership lies a profound emphasis on corporate internships, providing Indonesian students unparalleled opportunities to sharpen their skills in authentic real-world settings. By immersing themselves in these practical experiences, students are guaranteed a comprehensive and holistic educational journey. Additionally, the integration of Chinese language training for Indonesian students before their arrival in Taiwan demonstrates a forward-thinking approach. This language training initiative underscores the partners' commitment to providing students with the necessary linguistic proficiency for success in an increasingly interconnected world.

The visionary "International Student Recruitment and Retention Initiative in Taiwan" is made possible through the generous support of the National Development Fund. The program offers full tuition and miscellaneous fee waivers for students enrolled in specialized classes, ensuring access to quality education for aspiring talents. Moreover, participating companies contribute a monthly stipend of NT$10,000, further enriching the educational journey for international students.

Principal Gong of Cheng Shiu University highlights the comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach of the initiative. Encompassing various aspects such as enrollment promotion, Chinese preparatory courses, academic exchanges, international collaboration, career guidance, and talent recruitment, the program aims to provide a well-rounded educational experience. Looking ahead, Cheng Shiu University is eagerly preparing to launch a special class program in March. This opportunity will invite exceptional Indonesian students to explore extraordinary study and employment prospects in Taiwan.

As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, initiatives like this serve as a testament to the power of international collaboration in shaping the next generation of leaders. Through this historic partnership, Taiwanese and Indonesian universities are driving innovation, cultural exchange, and academic excellence, creating a brighter and more inclusive future for students worldwide.
